At this month’s dinner, we will be joined by All the Chapter presidents in Arizona and representatives
as they hold their semi-annual Council meeting with us on Friday. It is our opportunity to have them
meet the members of the Coronado Chapter – “from the Best part of the State”.
That is my mantra to the other Chapter leaders! Be sure to tell them that…. Joey Stricklen, COL, USA ®,
, Arizona Department of Veterans Services, will be our speaker and he will attend the Council meeting
on Friday. He is extremely informative and a true devotee to our veterans in our State. Come meet
him!
As this is being written,
MOAA National has just released the Communication Award winners for the year, and our web-site was the
honorable mention for Chapters of our size – Thank You, Bill Colberg! He continues to update and
improve the website and we hope that you find it a useful source of information. It is an easy
reference guide to veterans’ information, area information, and activities. Recommend it to visitors to
our area.
Harry Bowen has established strong links to the EGSR representatives in the state. If you work for a
Defense contractor firm, or any other business in our area, that has National Guard and USA Reserve
employees, please talk to Harry.
By the time you read this, Lucinda and I will be heading back home from Fort Benning. It will have been
a month long RV trip visiting family and many Army friends. We’ll see you at the 20 May
dinner!
